Biography

Travel has always been a muse for my paintings. Pop culture mixed with history is a subject that I like to archive. During the Covid lock down, I found myself at a stand still and sought out a contemplative dream-like subject matter. Underwater was a result of the experience of feeling confined through this time.

Spain, another recent body of work, was influenced by a lone journey across the country of Spain. I seek to connect the viewer to a universal energy of longing and desire. The paintings in this series reflects a vibrant, fluid mosaic of past and present. My Atlantic Beach series of trailers evokes the classic Americana summer beach trek that has stood the test of time along this glistening coast.

The glowing mirage of neon holds the leading roll in my earlier works. Since childhood, I have been captured by the lour of it’s light. I’ve traveled many back roads seeking its magic. The old motels, bowling allies, and businesses neon inshrines are now few and far between. The dreams and desires they conger, way heavy on my heart.
